Set up Pixette with Plex (beta)
Play the photo libraries on your Plex Media Server. Link Pixette to your Plex account with a code at plex.tv/link.
Choose Plex in Pixette
Open Pixette and choose 'Plex' as the connection method. It is marked Beta. On Apple TV or Android TV, do this on the TV itself: a Plex connection can't be sent from your phone, and the sign-in in the next step is made for TVs.
Link your Plex account
Pixette shows a four-character code. On your phone or computer, open plex.tv/link, sign in to Plex if asked and enter the code. Pixette notices by itself when the link is done. Your Plex password is never typed into Pixette. If the code expires, ask for a new one.
Pick your Plex server
If your account has more than one Plex Media Server, including servers shared with you, choose the one with your photos. Pixette tries the server's address on your home network first, then its remote address.
Pick a photo library
Pixette lists the Plex libraries of the type Photos. Movies, TV shows and music libraries are left out. Open a library or one of its albums and set it as the base to play only that part, then tap Done.
Let Pixette index your library
Pixette now lists your photos and videos in the background. A large library can take a few minutes the first time. Then your slideshow is ready.
No typing on a TV
Apple TV and Android TV show the code on screen. Enter it at plex.tv/link on your phone, and the TV connects by itself. Each TV links on its own: for your account's safety, a Plex sign-in is never copied from your phone.
Slow photos? Check the connection
When Pixette can only reach your server through Plex's relay, it warns you: the relay is limited to about 2 Mbps without Plex Pass, so large photos load slowly. Use Pixette on the same network as the server, or turn on Remote Access in your Plex server's settings.
Fast loading
Turn on Fast loading in Pixette's settings to show photos that your Plex server resizes to screen size instead of full originals. Photos appear faster and use less data, which helps a lot over a remote connection.
Advanced: server URL and token
If the code sign-in doesn't fit your setup, open Advanced and enter your server's address (for example http://192.168.1.10:32400) and a Plex token instead.
Plex is in beta
Plex support is new. If something doesn't work as expected, tell us through the feedback form in the app.
